Expert group 5: Institutional Coordination and Cooperation
This special target expert group will concentrate
on exploring institutional coordination in
integrated environmental risk management. It will
also consider the cooperation and involvement of
diverse stakeholders in large river basins, with
special emphasis on the Volga basin. The major foci
will be on the following problems:

How to establish good coordination between
those institutions responsible for environmental
risk management;

What are the notable major successes and
failures in the existing institutional frameworks
for integrated environmental management in river
basins? How effective are they?
-
How can tighter relations be established
between river basin administrations and diverse
stakeholders and regular and stable partnerships
among stakeholders be built?
